DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Art League of Ocean City’s 2020 Plein\nAir Event! Artists will take to the boardwalk\, streets\, harbors\, bay and\nmarshes to participate. “En plein air” is a French expression that means “in\nthe open air\,” used to describe the art of painting outdoors. Plein air events\ntake place wherever the scenery is inspirational\, artists congregate to paint\nit\, and watchers gather to see the painters make art right before their eyes. \nArtists will paint the picturesque spots of the Ocean City area Wednesday through Saturday\, August 12-16. Then gather at the Arts Center on Saturday to hang your best work and offer it for sale from 5-8 p.m. at a free reception open to the public. The entries juried in will continue on display at the Arts Center through August 29.
