DESCRIPTION:In the past 32 years the Ocean City Tuna Tournament has become the world’s largest tuna tournament with a cash payout of over $908\,235.00 in 2019 with 110 boats participating. Boats of all sizes from all over the East Coast have traveled to Ocean City\, Maryland to not only fish in our vast ocean\, but to also compete for big money in this first-class event. The three day event is full of anticipation\, excitement and fun for all. \n \nWhile the crowd of spectators wait for the scales to open\, they can enjoy a cold beverage or grab a bite to eat at the dock bar and browse through the vendor area where exhibitors selling everything from boats to art to tackle and jewelry showcase their products. Once the scales have closed\, participants and sponsors relax and swap fishing tales while enjoying entertainment and a gourmet dinner prepared by our very own on site restaurant. \n \nThe Ocean City Tuna Tournament is a unique event for boat manufacturers and suppliers to showcase their products among the world’s top tournament anglers and crews. Sponsors are shown just how much they are appreciated with free passes to each day’s events\, a sponsor bag filled with treats\, a special VIP party held on Sunday\, and so much more. \n \nThe Ocean City Fishing Center\, one of Ocean City’s prominent marinas\, plays host to the tournament. Weigh-ins are also held at the Fishing Center’s sister marina\, Sunset Marina.
