The 5th Annual Winter Delmarva Birding Weekend is scheduled for January 24 – 26, 2020!

 

In 2019, 118 species were tallied during the 4th Annual Birding Weekend. How many will you spot this year? Possibilities include Glacous Gull, Golden Eagle, Great Cormorant, Purple Sandpiper, Snow Bunting and more! 

 

Friday, January 24th:

8:00am – 11:00am Chincoteague Bay Wilderness (driving & hiking)

8:00am Birds of Bombay Hook (driving)

1:30pm – 4:30pm Assateague, Rum Point and Bayside Ponds (driving & hiking)

1:30pm – 5:00pm Mispillion Inlet to Fowler Beach (driving & hiking)

5:00pm – 7:00pm Tally Rally to be held at Burley Oak Brewery in Berlin, MD

 

Saturday, January 25th:

8:00am – 11:00am Ocean City Inlet, Sunset Park & West OC Harbor (driving & hiking)

8:00am – 11:00am Indian River Inlet, Burton’s Island & James Farm Ecological Preserve (driving & hiking)

1:00pm – 4:00pm Lewes Boat Trip 

4:00pm – 6:00pm Tally Rally to be held at Irish Eyes in Lewes, DE

 

Sunday, January 26th

8:00am – 11:00am Newport Farms Winter Wonderland (driving & hiking)

8:00am – 11:00am Cape Henlopen State Park (driving & hiking)
